Product Information
- 8-Bromo-4-quinolinecarbonitrile
- 4-Quinolinecarbonitrile, 8-bromo-
8-Bromoquinoline-4-carbonitrile is a molecule that has been shown to be catalytic in the conversion of benzene into acetaldehyde and then acetic acid. It has been shown to produce significant analgesia in animal models of neuropathic pain. 8-Bromoquinoline-4-carbonitrile is a chiral molecule with two possible tautomeric forms, which may account for its stereo activity. The chemical yield was found to be high by GC analysis, but the percentage of the desired product was not determined. 8-Bromoquinoline-4-carbonitrile also showed an affinity for nicotine receptors in animals, suggesting it may have therapeutic potential for chronic pain.
