6,7-Bis(3-hydroxyphenyl)pteridine-2,4-diamine is a risk factor for cancer that has been shown to be present in the blood of patients with cancer. 6,7-Bis(3-hydroxyphenyl)pteridine-2,4-diamine is produced by the enzyme tyrosinase and can be used as a marker for diagnosis and prognosis of cancer. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. The biological sample can be collected from either whole blood or plasma and analyzed using an algorithm to generate a probability of target cell status.
