1,2-N,N'-Bis[(methane-sulfonyl)amino]-cyclohexane is an organic compound that is used as a reagent for the sulfonylation of amides. It has been shown to be a high yielding and selective method for the preparation of sulfonamide derivatives. The primary use of this compound is in the synthesis of chiral amines by reaction with chloroformates or sulfonyl chlorides. This product is also used as a reagent for the preparation of 1,4-diaminocyclohexanes and pyridines.
