4-Bromopyrrole-2-carboxylic acid is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the class of dibromoageliferin. It has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth and proliferation in vitro, including a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. 4-Bromopyrrole-2-carboxylic acid also has antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
