6-Bromoquinoline-2-carboxylic acid (BQCA) is a quinoline derivative with antitumor activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. In addition, BQCA has been used as an anti-tumor agent for the treatment of carcinoma. The mechanism of action is not fully understood but may be related to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis and cell division.
