Product Information
3-Bromo-4-methyl-7-(diethylamino)-coumarin is a fluorescent probe that reacts with hydrogen peroxide to produce a fluorescent signal. It can be used as an indicator of the presence of peroxides in the environment. The concentration of 3-Bromo-4-methyl-7-(diethylamino)-coumarin was determined by measuring its fluorescence intensity using a fluorometric assay. In this assay, the amount of hydrogen peroxide present was calculated from the rate at which 3-Bromo-4-methyl-7-(diethylamino)-coumarin reacted with hydrogen peroxide and related to the concentration of chloroperoxidase, which is another fluorescent probe that reacts with hydrogen peroxide to produce a fluorescent signal. This reaction can be measured in μm range.
