Description:

Boc-O-benzyl-L-threonine is a cyclic peptide analog with an inhibitory effect on the oxytocin receptor. It has been shown to have potential for the treatment of herpes simplex virus. The synthesis of Boc-O-benzyl-L-threonine involves a solid phase synthesis and a residue, which are important in the synthetic process. This compound has also been used for localization studies on tetradecapeptides. Hydrogen fluoride is used as a catalyst in this reaction.
