Boc-D-aspartic acid-beta-benzyl ester is a peptidomimetic that is a potent selective endothelin A receptor antagonist. It binds to the endothelin receptor and blocks the action of endothelin, which prevents vasoconstriction. Boc-D-aspartic acid-beta-benzyl ester has been shown to be active in both rat and human tissues and is not affected by temperature. This drug has also been shown to be effective against resistant cells, such as those resistant to benzyl group analogues.
