Product Information
- Bz-L-His-OMe
- methyl N-benzoylhistidinate
N-alpha-Benzoyl-L-histidine methyl ester is a square planar coordination complex. It binds to anions, such as chloride and sulfate ions. The ligand is chiral and can exist in two enantiomeric forms that are mirror images of one another. The ligand has been shown to coordinate with metal ions such as silver oxide, rhodium, or copper(II) ion. The ligand is also able to transmetallate with aminoacids. It has been shown that the imidazole ring of the ligand coordinates with the metal ion and it can be used as a chiral auxiliary in asymmetric synthesis.
