Description:

Boc-b-alanine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is a synthetic derivative of histidine that has been used to study the dynamics of phospholipid membranes and tumor xenografts. Boc-b-alanine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester has been shown to affect the function of lysines and other amino acids in proteins by forming hydrogen bonds with them. The compound has also been shown to have an effect on chloride ion channels, which may be due to its ability to form intramolecular hydrogen bonds with chloride ions.
