Boc-pentafluoro-D-phenylalanine is a natural product that belongs to the pentafluorophenyl group of compounds. It is a potent antimitotic agent with high affinity for peptide receptors in tumor cells. Boc-pentafluoro-D-phenylalanine has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as to reduce the size of tumors when administered intraperitoneally. This compound has not yet been shown to have any clinical activity in humans or animals.
