Product Information
- Boc-L-phenylalanyl leucine
- leucine, N-[(1,1-dimethylethoxy)carbonyl]phenylalanyl-
Boc-Phe-Leu-OH is a tripeptide that has a similar structure to the endogenous opioid peptide, enkephalin. It is a synthetic compound that can be used as a ligand for the opioid receptor. Boc-Phe-Leu-OH also has affinity for other receptors, such as the amide and amine receptors. This compound can be conjugated with an organic molecule to produce a dimeric or crosslinked peptide. The dimer form of this compound has been shown to have high affinity for the mu and delta opioid receptors because of its ability to bind at two sites on these proteins.
