Product Information
Boc-Val-Val-OH is a chalcone that is structurally related to acetylcholine. It has been shown to have antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory properties in vivo and to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, TNFα, and IL-6. Boc-Val-Val-OH binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and α7 nAChRs on neurons in the brain. These interactions lead to an increase in the release of neurotransmitters, such as acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine from these neurons. This may result in increased pain sensitivity or an increase in mood disorders. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug are not well understood.
