Product Information
- Bz-DL-Phe-bNA
Benzoyl-DL-phenylalanine beta-naphthylamide is a synthetic substrate used in the kinetic assay of serine proteinases. It is synthesized from chloromethyl ketone, which is hydrolyzed to benzoyl-DL-phenylalanine and beta-naphthol. Benzoyl-DL-phenylalanine beta-naphthylamide has a molecular weight of 179.2 Daltons and an amino acid sequence of C14H14N2O4. The reaction with serine proteinases produces a product that can be detected by two dimensional electrophoresis or ion exchange chromatography.
