Description:
Ngamma-Boc-L-2,4-diaminobutyric acid methyl ester hydrochloride is a synthesizing agent used in the process of preparing peptides. It is soluble in water and methanol, but insoluble in chloroform. It reacts with 1-hydroxybenzotriazole to produce a benzotriazole acetic acid methyl ester. This product can be reacted with benzylamine or benzylamide to form a dipeptide or an amide. The use of this product is not recommended for reactions that require high purity due to its low solubility in many organic solvents.
