Description:
N-α-Butyloxycarbonyl-L-diaminopropionic acid is an alkyl ester that is used as a reagent in the lipase, amide, and racemic synthesis. It is also used to prepare glycoproteins with either iib or iiia activity. N-α-Butyloxycarbonyl-L-diaminopropionic acid catalyzes the reaction between isobutyl alcohol and glycerol. This synthesis produces a mixture of N-α butyloxycarbonylglycine, N-methyl glycine, and butanol.
