Description

PEG-diamine is a reactive compound that is used in the synthesis of microcapsules. It can also be used to inhibit cancer cell growth and for antibacterial efficacy. PEG-diamine has been shown to reduce the uptake of epidermal growth factor by cells, which may be due to its ability to bind with high affinity to the EGF receptor on the surface of cells. PEG-diamine has a neutral pH and is hydrophilic, which means it can interact with water molecules. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
