Description

Boc-homopiperazine is a molecule inhibitor of the carboxylic acid reductase that is involved in the regulation of cellular pH. It has been shown to be effective against bladder cancer cells and is currently being optimized for use as a drug target. The affinity of Boc-homopiperazine for the enzyme has been determined by stereochemical analysis, which showed that it binds to the active site with a high affinity. In order to optimize Boc-homopiperazine, it was synthesized using triacetoxyborohydride as a reducing agent and fasudil hydrochloride as an additive. This process yielded a high yield (99%) of Boc-homopiperazine.
