Description

Boc-N-Me-1,3-diaminopropane is a small molecule inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus. It interacts with the viral RNA polymerase and prevents translation of the viral genome into proteins. Boc-N-Me-1,3-diaminopropane also inhibits the assembly of new ribosomes from preformed subunits in cells infected with HIV. This drug binds to the ribosomal protein L11 and blocks interactions between this protein and other components of the ribosome. Boc-N-Me-1,3-diaminopropane has been shown to be effective against small molecule inhibitors that are resistant to traditional antiviral drugs, such as protease inhibitors and nucleotide analogues.
