Description:
4-Bromo-thiobenzamide is a ligand that has been used in the crystal x-ray diffraction of axial ligands. It has been shown to be an efficient desulfurization agent for removing sulfur from metal oxides and sulfides, such as tungsten oxide and tungsten disulfide. 4-Bromo-thiobenzamide also has been shown to have optical properties and can be used in solar cells as well as thin film photovoltaic devices. This compound is capable of transporting electrons and photoelectrons, which may be due to its ability to form a unipolar molecule with the oxygen atom.
