Description:

6-Bromopyridin-3-yl)methanol is a synthetic analog of tetracosane. It has been shown to be potently inhibitory against the growth of c. parapsilosis in culture. 6-Bromopyridin-3-yl)methanol is used as a diagnostic aid for life-threatening diseases such as cancer and bacterial infections. The radionuclide copper complex can be used to detect 6-Bromopyridin-3-yl)methanol, which can then be decontaminated with hydroalcoholic solutions. This compound has been studied in crystallography and positron emission tomography (PET) studies to determine its potential use as a diagnostic tool for conditions such as cancer and bacterial infections.
