Description

1-Benzyl-piperidin-3-ylamine is a reactive compound that can be used for the synthesis of medicines. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the COX-2 enzyme, which is involved in inflammation and blood pressure regulation. 1-Benzyl-piperidin-3-ylamine has also been shown to reduce blood pressure in animals. The compound can be synthesized by reacting benzylpiperidine with dimethylformamide and imidazolidinone in a solvent such as water or methanol at temperatures ranging from -10°C to 100°C.
