Biphenyl-4-yl-hydrazine is a synthetic compound with a pyrazoline ring. It is an antibacterial agent that has been shown to be active against Streptomyces. It has also been shown to inhibit the growth of Streptomyces in skin fibroblasts, but not in other types of cells. Biphenyl-4-yl-hydrazine has also been found to have anticancer activity and can be used as a topical treatment for cancerous lesions. This drug also inhibits spermidine synthase, which regulates the production of polyamines, and may have antimicrobial properties.
