Description

7-Bromo-DL-tryptophan is an amino acid that is used in the diagnosis of cancer. It is a single-stranded, disulfide protein that has diagnostic properties. The anti-telomerase catalytic antibody binds to the catalytic subunit of telomerase and inhibits its activity. This inhibits the synthesis of telomeres, which are structures at the end of chromosomes that protect them from degradation and maintain their stability. The 7-Bromo-DL-tryptophan monoclonal antibodies have been shown to be able to detect cancer cells and may have potential as a diagnostic tool for various cancers.
