Description

2-(3-Benzyloxyphenyl)Octan-2-Ol is an analgesic agent that is used in the manufacture of other drugs. It is synthesized by methylation of heptanol with 3-benzyloxyacetophenone, followed by a Grignard reaction with hydrogen chloride and trimethylaluminum.
