Description:
4-Bromo-5-methyl-1H-indazole is a cyclizing reagent that is used in the synthesis of heterocycles. It can also be used as a starting material for the synthesis of other compounds. 4-Bromo-5-methyl-1H-indazole reacts with potassium, lithium, and lithium diisopropylamide to produce hydrazine, which can then react with methoxyamine and carbonate to produce 4-(bromomethyl)-1H-indazole. This reaction can be carried out in dimethylformamide.
