1-Benzyl-azetidine-2-carboxylic acid is a chemical compound that inhibits the synthesis of iminosugars in fungi. It was first isolated from Aspergillus flavus and has been shown to inhibit the production of cyclic imino sugars in this organism. 1-Benzyl-azetidine-2-carboxylic acid has been used as a crystallizing agent for amino acids and an amino acid sequence, as well as pharmaceuticals for the treatment of fungal infections.
