Description:
1-Benzylazetidine-2-carboxylic acid amide is a molecule that is nonenantioselective in biotransformations. It is used to produce 1,3-diaminopropane and 1,2-diaminocyclohexane by ring opening of the corresponding azetidines with ethyl chloroformate. It has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in vitro.
