Product Information

Name:
1-Boc-4-cyclohexylaminopiperidine
Synonyms:
  • 1-N-Boc 4-(cyclohexylamino)piperidine
  • tert-Butyl4-(cyclohexylamino)piperidine-1-carboxylate
Description:

1-Boc-4-cyclohexylaminopiperidine is a piperidine derivative that is active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It has been shown to have good in vitro activity against strains of M. tuberculosis, and although its in vivo efficacy has not yet been determined, it does show potential for the treatment of tuberculosis due to its ability to inhibit mycobacteria growth. 1-Boc-4-cyclohexylaminopiperidine is also able to reduce mycobacterial profiles by modifying their surface proteins. This compound may be effective as an antitubercular agent because it inhibits cell wall synthesis, protein synthesis, and DNA synthesis.
