Product Information
- 1-Formyl-1H-benzotriazole
- 1H-benzotriazole-1-carbaldehyde
1H-Benzotriazole-1-carboxaldehyde is a photocatalyst that is used to degrade amines and polyethylene glycols. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, but not against methicillin sensitive strains. 1H-Benzotriazole-1-carboxaldehyde has been found to be an efficient method for the synthesis of formyl and iminium derivatives, as well as oxime derivatives. These functional groups are used in the modification of biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates. The synchronous fluorescence emission has been found to be efficient in this process, due to its high quantum yield.
