Description

[(R)-2,2'-Bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl]ruthenium(II) Dichloride is a catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation. It is an efficient and enantioselective catalyst that can be used to prepare optically pure alcohols and amines from racemic starting materials. The catalytic activity of [(R)-2,2'-Bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl]ruthenium(II) Dichloride can be attributed to the presence of chloride ions in ionic liquids.
