Description

1-(4-(Benzyloxy)-3-nitrophenyl)-2-bromoethanone is a formylation agent that has antibacterial activity. It is used in the synthesis of organic compounds and in polymerization reactions as an initiator. This compound was also found to be more active than other formylation agents, such as methoxy and benzyloxymethyl chloride.
