Description:

4,7-Bis(5-bromo-2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole is a dibrominated benzothiadiazole that can be used as a photovoltaic stabilizer. It is not soluble in many solvents and has low yields. This reagent can be used to stabilize polymeric or monomeric devices by absorbing energy from the environment and dissipating it as heat. 4,7-Bis(5-bromo-2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole is also an important reagent for the preparation of diodes for photovoltaic devices. The parameters of this compound are dependent on the environment in which it is being prepared.
