Description:
2-Bromoanthracene is a fluorescent probe that absorbs ultraviolet and visible light. It is used in organic chemistry as an aromatic hydrocarbon for the preparation of other compounds. 2-Bromoanthracene can be synthesized from anthracene by the Suzuki coupling reaction, which involves the use of chloride as a catalyst.
