Description:
1,2-Bis[2-methylbenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl]-3,3,4,4,5,5-hexafluoro-1-cyclopentene is an organic compound that belongs to the group of ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) monomers. It can be used for polymer synthesis by irradiation with UV light or electron beam. The absorption process of 1,2-Bis[2-methylbenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl]-3,3,4,4,5,5 hexafluoro cyclopentene is activated by IR radiation and has a constant value of 3.7x10^(-6). The photoexcited molecule will decompose into two molecules of bis(cyclohexylidene)malononitrile and one molecule of bis(cyclohexylidene)malononitrile per molecule of 1
