Description:

1,1-Bis(4-hydroxy-3-methylphenyl)cyclohexane is a peroxide that is used to create epoxides. It has also been used in the production of polycarbonates and epoxy resins. 1,1-Bis(4-hydroxy-3-methylphenyl)cyclohexane can be autoclaved at temperatures ranging from 121°C to 130°C for up to 30 minutes. This chemical has been shown to react with sulfonic acids, hydrogen peroxide, and fluorine. It is not soluble in water but can dissolve in silicone or polyester liquids. 1,1-Bis(4-hydroxy-3-methylphenyl)cyclohexane is activated by heat or light and can be used as a monomer for estradiol synthesis. The molecular weight of this chemical ranges from 220 to 290 g/mol.
