Benzophenone-2,4'-dicarboxylic acid is a ligand that has been shown to have anion selectivity. It is an organic molecule that can be used in devices such as optical switches and sensors. Benzophenone-2,4'-dicarboxylic acid has been shown to have high fluorescence intensity and it is able to emit light. Benzophenone-2,4'-dicarboxylic acid can be used for the development of novel sensors for both organic and inorganic ions, as well as for ion-exchange membranes.
