Description:
1-Bromoanthracene (BA) is a molecule that is structurally similar to anthracene. It has been shown to be a steady-state fluorescer when it reacts with the reaction system, and the luminescence properties of BA can be seen in its x-ray structures. BA has been used as a model compound for borinic anion radicals, which are generated by nucleophilic attack on an aromatic hydrocarbon. The structural formula of 1-Bromoanthracene is shown below.
