1,3-Bis(3-aminopropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane is a tetradentate organic compound that reacts with boron nitride to form a coordination polymer. This monomer is used in the production of silicon modified polyamides. It has been shown to be stable under light, and can undergo chemical crosslinking reactions. 1,3-Bis(3-aminopropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane is also able to chelate metal ions such as copper and chloride, forming chelate rings. The constant for this monomer is 3.5
