4-Bromo-2-methoxyaniline is a synthetic chemical that belongs to the family of pharmacological compounds. It is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and has been shown to be effective against gramine and tryptamine. 4-Bromo-2-methoxyaniline can be extracted from coal tar, naphthalene, or phenylhydrazine. This compound attacks the brominated nucleus of the benzene ring, debrominating it and converting it into an aminobenzene. The chemical structure of this compound is similar to that of amphetamine and methamphetamine.
