Product Information

Name:
1-Bromo-4-chloro-2-iodobenzene
Description:

1-Bromo-4-chloro-2-iodobenzene is an organic compound that belongs to the class of esters. It is a palladium catalyst that can be used in the synthesis of pyrrole derivatives, which are intramolecular cyclization products. The yield for this reaction is 82%. 1-Bromo-4-chloro-2-iodobenzene has been shown to undergo a vinylic substitution reaction with two equivalents of an aryl halide in the presence of palladium and deuterium gas. This reaction produces a trigonal bipyramidal intermediate, which then undergoes deuterium abstraction from the carbonyl group to form exomethylene. The bicyclic product can then be converted into biomolecules such as amino acids or sugars.
