5-Bromo-2-fluorobenzotrifluoride is a monomer that has been used in the synthesis of polyethers, polysiloxanes, and silicone resins. It can be synthesized from bromoacetic acid and dibromofluoroethane. The functional group present on this molecule is fluorine.
