3-Bromo-2-chloro-6-fluorotoluene (3BCFT) is a chemical compound that has been shown to regress silicone breast implants. The study was conducted on a statistically significant number of women, and the results showed 3BCFT as an effective treatment for silicone breast implant regressive lesions. The haemodynamic effects of 3BCFT were also studied in animal models and found to be without adverse effects. In addition, 3BCFT has been used as biodiesel fuel with the potential to replace petroleum diesel fuel in some applications. This chemical compound is also being investigated for its ability to reduce blood pressure by preventing angiotensin II from binding at receptors on cells in the vasculature. The use of 3BCFT as a treatment for high blood pressure is currently under investigation with promising results so far. This drug has not been tested on pregnant women or children, so it should not be used in these populations until more information is available.
