Product Information
BnO-PEG8-OH is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative with a hydroxyalkyl substituent. It has been shown to be expressed in human intestinal enterocytes and to bind to markers of this tissue. BnO-PEG8-OH also exhibits surfactant properties, which are attributed to the fatty acid group at the end of the molecule. The conjugation of BnO-PEG8-OH with polypeptides leads to its ability to reduce the surface tension of water and form stable emulsions. This compound also has been used as an anion exchanger for quaternary ammonium salts.
