Product Information
Bakkenolide is a chiral sesquiterpene lactone that exhibits potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of k562 cells, which are human leukemia cells, by inducing apoptosis. Bakkenolide also has potent antifungal activities against Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of a wide range of bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Bakkenolide is chemically stable under physiological conditions and can be purified by preparative hplc. The compound structure was determined using an analytical method such as nuclear magnetic resonance or mass spectrometry. The biological activity of bakkenolide has been studied using cell culture models such as neuronal death and natural compounds, which are compounds that occur naturally in plants or animals. Bakkenol
