Description:
4-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-indole is a carbopalladation agent that is used to form aryl halides. It has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the preparation of heterocycles and yields high yields of aryl halides. The reaction is carried out in dioxane in the presence of potassium carbonate and gives a variety of heterocycles, depending on the substituent. 4-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-indole can also be used as a precursor to other carbopalladation agents.
