Description

6-tert-Butylquinoline is an amino compound that has been shown to have minimal inhibitory concentrations against Streptomyces and other bacteria. It also has an antiproliferative effect on leukemia cells, which may be due to its ability to bind to the aminophenyl group of DNA. 6-tert-Butylquinoline has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth by binding to the cyanines in optical properties, which causes a change in the optical properties of the drug. This results in a decrease in the production of ATP, leading to cell death.
