Product Information
- Dimethyl[Bis(Pentafluorophenyl)]Silane
Bis(pentafluorophenyl)dimethylsilane is an organosilicon compound that has been shown to interconvert with other pentafluorophenyl compounds. Bis(pentafluorophenyl)dimethylsilane undergoes a nucleophilic substitution reaction by treatment with Grignard reagents, resulting in the formation of the corresponding alkyl or aryl derivatives. Bis(pentafluorophenyl)dimethylsilane can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of tetrachlorosilane, which is commonly used in silicon-based semiconductor manufacturing. The elemental analysis of bis(pentafluorophenyl)dimethylsilane has revealed that it does not contain hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, or chlorine.
