Product Information
- 1H-Pyrazol-3-amine, 1-(phenylmethyl)-
1-Benzyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylamine (BZP) is a soluble epoxide that has inhibitory activity against soluble epoxide hydrolase. BZP is synthesized from cyclotriphosphazene and aniline, which are both soluble in organic solvents. The synthesis proceeds via the aminolysis of cyclotriphosphazene with aniline, followed by the addition of benzyl amine to produce BZP. The yields of this reaction are high as the product is soluble in organic solvents. The solubility of 1-benzyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylamine makes it amenable to biological applications where it can be used to inhibit the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting their production through the inhibition of soluble epoxide hydrolase.
