Bis(tetraethylammonium)bis-(2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato)zincate(II), also known as [ZnCl(S,S)]2 and TEMPOZn, is a perchlorate cation. The cation radical is formed by the reversible oxidation of the neutral bis(tetraethylammonium)bis-(2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato)zincate(II). The synthesis of TEMPOZn involves an electrochemical oxidation reaction between tetrathiafulvalene and triethyl zinc. This compound has been shown to be a useful intermediate in organic synthesis.
